sixty years ago, I made my first Airfix model. I was rather keen on the Red Army even then - the T34 was an iconic tank, and the significance of the Kursk Salient in the defeat of fascism much underrated by my peers. These days I prefer the peaceful world of steam trains. And the facists seem to be back, in Minsk.
