London Remembrance

Today I went up to London for the first time in two years. I was joining an excellent guided walk on London in WW1. Before that, after a sneaky trip to the IWM, I walked up Whitehall in time to see the War Widows’ Association service at the Cenotaph which was very moving. We later caught the tail end of the Lord Mayor’s Parade as the guardsmen rode back to Horseguards Parade, followed by Extinction Rebellion who were making a hell of a racket.
All in all a very full and exciting day out.
(Extras: a lion, a view from Waterloo Bridge, and some very big guns.)
