Day 317/21. A quality repair

Changing the battery inside a watch (not mine, I hasten to add....). You know the quality you are working with when you see these two inscriptions inside:
No Jewels
Unadjusted
Why on earth would you mark them that way? Why put anything? Who thought this labelling was necessary? Sometimes a puzzle goes unanswered.
