Helvellyn

Long day today. Left home 4:30 am to travel unto the Lake District. Journey good with lots of cracking scenery on view but just out of photographic reach along the motorway. Traffic getting heavier when I got to Kendal. Quick pub lunch and first chance to take some pictures. Pleased to say there is still snow on some of the hills and views still take my breath away and bring a surge of happiness through me when Im left in wonder how fantastic this place is.

Staying in comfortable accommodation on the banks of Thirlmere. Only downside is Internet connection. Very slow. Hope weather holds and the rest of the week is as lovely as today!
