Full on day

TittleTattle Teashop this morning before going to town to return some clothes and take some more tablet blister packs to take to Superdrug for their Marie Curie collection.  Called at the supermarket. Yes, did it again - bought more than intended, so 2 heavy bags to carry across town and to the bus - not good with arthritic hands and elbows!  Bus delayed a couple of minutes in roadworks, so saw the village bus sail past before I could get across the road.  Then another village bus must have been running late and also went by before I could cross!  With half an hour before the next bus I decided to walk down to the parish church and photograph their poppy display.  They have a net of poppies down the side of the door, and then a “poppy garden” at the side. Of course as soon as I got there it started to pour down - well it would wouldn’t it?!  Wandered back to the bus stop - full of schoolchildren, so went back across the road to get on at an earlier stop to ensure a seat.  Back in the village the rain had stopped so at least I could go up the hill more slowly and stop to rest my hands now and again!  Out this evening with “The ladies who travel” (although 2015 was our last trip!) to the White Horse in Bingley.  A nice meal, but then their card machine wouldn’t work so a bit of a confused end to the evening as not many people carry cash these days.  Home and feeling far too full.  Must remember to have just a main and no starter in future!
