Racing

Today all my boys took part in a friendly inter club ski race. The weather could not have been worse...it snowed all day, yet was not too cold so the snow fell in wet flakes and again there was hardly any visibility due to thick fog all day.

Initially my two older teenagers were not keen to race, but when the racing started they found it very enjoyable and loved the conditions! Admittedly the snow was perfect if a little sticky from all the snow falling.

Here is my eldest son Luke racing past one of the gates - you can see a faint blue line on the snow where the path had to be marked with dye due to the poor visibility. Standing watching was exciting albeit uncomfortable with snow constantly beating into your face - and taking photos was not easy, trying to keep the snow off the lens. But a good day at the end of it all, lots of fun had by all the racers.
