Jolly Jasmine

After five weeks away,
nothing's the same.
Now, winter-flowering jasmine
fills the window frame.

... and beautiful it is, too.

Most of day seemed taken up by the long trip to Torbay hospital for my eye-check-up. It's not too far as the crow flies, but up to a 90 minutes' journey, allowing for ferry waits, or crossing the Dart via a longer route.

Good news is: no worsening of my glaucoma, though looking at the images, it's bad enough! A relief to know it's stable, and I just need to continue with the nightly eye-drops. Bad news: another mask bites the dust, which will take around 500 years to break down. Smoke and perfume particles pass through pretty easily, so can't think they do much to keep out miniscule viruses (even as Chris Witty himself said two years ago, when we were simply to practise lockdown for three weeks to 'flatten the curve'.) How the propaganda changes!

Forgotten the name of the other flower that's currently in bloom in our back yard (and flattened by the wind). It's pink and pretty, though fighting its corner amongst the vicious decorative grasses that try and choke it. (Both were here before our arrival. See Extra.)

Last night, I was too tired to sleep and only grabbed 3 hours 45 minutes of zeds, according to my Fitbit (and my experience). Hoping tonight will be better.

Thanks to BikerBear Anni for hosting Flower Friday yet again.
