Something nice to look at

This is a Picasso from 1913 called “Student with pipe,” hanging on the wall of Acquavella Gallery, where there is a rather terrific Picasso show on at the moment. The show contains lots of things from private collections, but this one is owned by MOMA; they must keep it in storage, though, because I don’t recall ever seeing it before.
