Dig deep....

Another day of this and that.
First job was to head down the road to meet Stuart and Alec with a mini digger to investigate a water leak in the field I brought the cows home from yesterday. Turns out the plastic stop tap had split so didn't take to long to replace.
Back home by 9.30am so clipped and vaccinated the calves that came home yesterday when it was a dry day.
Wee brother and the 2 herds busy branding the blackie gimmers. These are being kept as breeding sheep so they get an E or an O branded on their horns to identify which hill they belong to and a number to show the year.
The hot iron makes a permanent mark in the hard outer part of the horn but they don't feel it.
Headed off this afternoon to collect more expensive pneumonia vaccine from the vet's , get some replacement water fittings for the ones used this morning , and filled up the petrol cans . Started to fill the landrover too. Had put 5 litres in when I realised it was petrol not diesel..
A lot of swearing and a bit of thought later, decided to fill up to the brim with diesel and hopefully it will dilute the petrol enough to avoid having to drain out the tank. Fingers crossed.
As they say,old age doesn't come it's self .......
