Splendid end to the day

Mostly taken up with emulsioning ceiling and walls of the main bedroom. Another coat required.

Half the dining room is papered. That’ll need a couple of coats of emulsion.

I had an intermission this morning participating in a zoom meeting of the railway’s environment and sustainability working group. I zoomed partly to save an hour and twenty minutes journey there and back for a meeting and partly because the working group is about sustainability!

I had a further intermission later in the afternoon as I watched a marvellous sunset develop. The light was mesmerising. Far too good to be caught in camera.

Spent some time thinking about my father and my grandfather and their part in the Second World War and the Great War
