We will remember them.

The first year I have had a metal poppy.  The lady came to the door and Clickychick returned with this and the usual poppy.  Why the lady insisted on the metal one I don't know.

As usual, I observed the minute's silence at 11:00 o'clock.  War has been kind to our family.  I never knew either of my Granddads, but they were both old enough to have been in WW1, if they were they both survived.  WW11  my dad's generation, 5 brothers, Dad in a reserved occupation the other 4 went to war and all returned.

The 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month is good reason to remember all those past and present who went to war and weren't as fortunate as my family.
