UNDER OBSERVATION

I waited until after the Silence, then phoned my Godmother who lost her husband a year ago today. She hasn't been easy to keep in touch with, but seems to be a little more open to contact, and we had a nice chat, albeit very brief. Then I went for a walk while the sun still shone and found myself being watched by this roe deer, who let me take her photo before bounding away.

I was also very surprised to see one dragonfly (extra), a Ruddy Darter which must surely be the last survivor of summer.
