John Hopkins.....

.....was my First Cousin, three times removed, who served in the Loyal North Lancashire Regiment throughout World War One from joining in September 1914 to leaving in November 1918.
He was wounded and brought home, but eventually returned to the Front.
He died of a heart attack two months after the end of the War.....

This is his CWG in Lower Ince Cemetery, Wigan, that I visit every Remembrance Day to pay my respects.
