Drippy

Late morning start for us all after yesterday's exciting evening out (backblipped). Some morning digging (I need to dig a trench around the new veg garden to bury some rabbit-proof fencing in). After yesterday's rotovating, an evening uncomfortably spent lying on a small cushion with children on me, and some digging, I can't describe the pain in my back or my physio friend will be very unhappy... suffice to say I am medicating in the usual way...

Happily for my back, sadly for the trench digging, the rain started hammering down as storm after storm swept over us. There were plenty of sunny intervals, so I was able to keep nipping out for another few metres of trench. In the end I gave up and worked out what I'm planting, and when. By the end of the rain storms, when I was able to pop out for a few photos of drippy flowers, my lovely, light and airy, rotovated veg garden was reduced to a clayey puddly mess.

But I did spot that the cowslips are out, and the May blossom, and some lovely teeny daffodils that I don't remember planting. On the minus side, if I don't get those broad beans planted on soon they will be pushing up the cold frame lid and marching out themselves...
