New ‘Tudor’ building
This striking building is a new Church in the village of Isleham. Made almost entirely of wood in the Tudor style, it took the people of the village several years to build. It stands on the edge of the village on what is, in this flat area, almost a hill, and visible from afar as you approach from the Newmarket road. There is not only a worship hall but also a reception/refreshment area and smaller rooms set around a courtyard complete with cloisters. The opening meeting was attended by about 400 people. It replaces a smaller Church in the village centre and has the advantage of a huge car park - no more parking in the narrow streets!
