I went back to the operating theatre yesterday for the 5th procedure.

The affected parts were covered by an “artificial skin”, Biodegradable Temporizing Matrix (BTM), more vacuum dressing and plaster splints to straighten the ankle.

Now we wait a week to examine the results before the next decision. My own skin grafts are likely. I may be discharged before Christmas and then recalled for the skin grafts. Or not.

The other great step forward is that I am sitting in a chair for the photo!!
