I've chosen an unusual subject...

... for today.

Taken on my morning walk round the RHS gardens, this dead flower head attracted my attention.

I probably wouldn't have known the type of flower had I taken it in full bloom but I have no chance trying to identify it in this state.

I still think it makes an interstingly 'different' subject.
