Salvia Salvation
It’s November and there are very few bee attractions around now. But the Salvias keep on giving, much to the relief of this and the many other thankful bees.
The plant is a bit of a pain. Every year we cut it back hard and every spring it grows and grows and grows until it overhangs the path. it doesn’t smell nice if you brush past it but we cannot cut it back as the flowers are so important to the bees. Buds are still forming so at this rate we will be edging round it right through the year.
Good job the flowers are so pretty.
