Sun Up
Year 2 Day 231 of UK COVID-19 Pandemic. First UK/World Vaccine 335 days ago. UK open. Overseas travel with restrictions.
The front door sounded just after 7am, and I woke to find I had slept with another female - granddaughter Amelia was fast asleep and Mrs BB was in her bed! Taken delivery of some radiators, I could see the sky was bright red. A few minutes later I was grabbing my blipfoto from the patio and it was well worth the effort - a beautiful red sky with a hint of yellow sun just poking from behind Coppett Hill infront of our house.
Later in the morning, Amelia developed an ear infection so MrsBB took her home later in the day to her mum who finished work early. I took a drive to a farm on the oustkirts of Monmouth for a sack of potatoes at £4. The last bag six weeks ago were superb, loads of baking sized ones and they didn't sprout. I have seen supermarkets charging 50p for one baking so excellent value. I'll be using some for tonights home made Leek & Potato soup.
