Life, Universe & Not Much

End of the road?

I've been using Lightroom (now Lightroom Classic) since the first version was available to the public (but only for the Mac originally). It was a 'skunk works' project in Adobe, which was hastily released to respond to Apple's Aperture. I've used it ever since, though I have tried other software.

I wasn't happy when Adobe went to a subscription model, and then created a new 'Lightroom', renaming the old-style Lightroom as 'Lightroom Classic'. Now they have made some drastic modifications to how it works. They may be an 'improvement', but rather than spend time trying to adapt to the new UI I think I will finally finalise my move to Capture One. Also, Affinity Photo makes a pretty good alternative to Photoshop, so  think I'll be saying goodbye to Adobe.
