Autumn colour and cacti!

Still some Autumn colour in the garden, despite the strong winds and rain. 

Another damp day. The forecast said no rain till late afternoon which of course was wrong and yet another walk was curtailed by heavy rain.  
A walk round Abbey House grounds ( no new toadstools) then up to the garden centre as M was on the lookout for some bonsai material. We didnt find any but we did find 2 planters in the reject corner. One was a bit chipped but M said he could paint over that bit. £10 a pair.. a bargain. Even better when we got to the till . I had £10 on the loyalty  card so it was ' free '. 

Called at the Coop for the basics, but also got a chocolate covered doughnut covered in golden stars and sprinkles. I ate it before I realised I was going to use it as a still life for the camera club theme Food. Oh dear, guess that means I'll have to buy another tomorrow.. lol

Extra is of a display in the garden centre, that made a change from all the Christmas stuff appearing!
