Without Meaning?

Should a still-life photograph have meaning? That was the question I asked myself after taking this image today. It is not a celebration of life's pleasures or a reminder of our own mortality. Neither does it tell a story or invoke a strong emotional response. The arrangement and lighting possibly make the objects more interesting, but even that is debatable. The object on the right was described when I bought it as a blue milk warmer. If I am honest the image probably does not have much meaning. Perhaps if I described it as "Table Display with Blue Milk Warmer" it  might suggest how decorative accessories can make even the mundane attractive., but maybe that's pushing it a bit!
