Robin day

no, not the TV man

Today is the first day since early spring I've taken mealworms for the robins into the reserve.  During the past couple of visits I've been aware of increasing flutterings and chit-chit-chit from the bushes and sure enough this morning when I got the goods out of my pocket this one appeared at my shoulder.

I have to admit though, even going so much later in the morning I'm feeling rather less comfortable in the reserve since the loiterers incident.  Not like me at all, but it will have to be faced out ;(
