Kestrel

A little chilly today but we soon warmed up with a little walk around Canvey Wick nature reserve after a spot of food shopping nearby!  Quite a few dog walkers about today -grrrr to the piles of poop left behind on many of the paths - but I was delighted to see this kestrel on one of the footbridges. Only managed a couple of shots before dog walkers got in the way and scared him off! So annoying!!

Saw a rather large containership too heading down the Thames Estuary to the Gateway port, set with 3 tugs, 1 of which was doing an amazing job going backwards!

And it was also nice to see the 2 aeroplanes take off side by side this morning - BA and Virgin - live from Heathrow via Youtube on Big Jet TV, as flights to America start back up again!  It's all feeling a little more normal again....
