Mountain view

It's been along time since we have been able to drive into the mountains, for some reason the road was closed. Initially we were told it was due to Covid, and then it was to allow for regrowth. There is a Temple at the top of the mountain, and all Temples were closed to all visitors. Now, however, the road is open again. The end of the rainy season is the start of winter, but it is still warm and the sky was clear. It was good to get out of town.

The journey back down the mountain was made difficult as we were behind a large four wheel drive vehicle, and the driver was clearly not used to mountain driving, consequently the vehicle kept straying over to the wrong side of the narrow road. We were terrified that he would suddenly encounter a vehicle coming up. Happily we all made it down safely. It is not unusual for people to drive here with no licence.
