Crow's Castle, Canwell
A beautiful day first thing (5:30 am)! I'd wanted to explore this area along the Heart of England footpath for some months and this seemed an ideal opportunity.
The landscape on the Canwell Estate is quite unique for our area. Rolling hills, small groups of tress and larger plantations. As I was walking I saw a number of signs opposing the HS2 rail project; normally I am supportive of new projects of this type, but on this occasion I feel it a great pity were this landscape to be impacted by the railway line.
Anyway, as my walk progressed the bank of clouds in the distance came over and blocked out the sun. By the time I got to Mum's it started snowing.
Happy Easter.
