Cat and shadow

"The long shadow of the law", commented T, the Law of the cat.

We had a busy morning riding around on local country roads. The tree damage from the recent storm is so extensive. We were very lucky. On Sunday mornings we pick up an order in Scituate from a tiny home bakery with incredible baked goods. We had an order of 2 Ham and cheese  breakfast croissants and two lemon Danish, a seeded loaf of bread and some homemade granola. We also swung by our friends, N&J's house to drop off something for them. They also gifted us their trusty apple picking pole for our pear tree. Sadly, they have had to take their apple tree down. It was a lovely conversation on a cold morning in the warm sun. They live on a street that ends in the ocean, so we could hear the waves too, just fabulous. N and I met at Camp Kiwanee over 50 years ago. Throughout the pandemic she and I and three other Kiwanee friends have had a daily text thread to keep our spirits up and share our daily lives. It's been wonderful. You can see us in the extra taken by T.

For the Record,
This day came in cold and frosty.

All hands cozy on a cold evening.
