Firewooding assistants

Good Friday was a busy day. One of our fantastic neighbours and his son-in-law offered to help us out with some firewood, so we duly pointed the truck at the hills and, after a spot of skilled off-roading (ahem), we ended up at a huge fallen pine that we've been slicing and dicing for the last couple of years.

On the last of the relays, we stopped off to fell an old kanuka closer to the house. As you can see, my neighbour's dogs had had enough by that stage....

Next task: split the three trailer loads of rounds....
