Lovely evening yesterday with two lovely people who submitted their PhD theses. Drinks in the Jolly Judge and good food in our current favourite place, The Galley.

We have friends coming to lunch who are bringing a painting that we are probably going to buy. We want to see how it looks in situ. I must, therefore, get on and clear up the flat. And the cooking pixie has popped down to the shop for some eggs we forgot when we went to the supermarket earlier.
