Here I go again…

Thought I’d take a break from painting but I couldn’t stop. I did the base with different acrylic media with spray inks and started to add details with Posca. Then I realized I needed to consider value passages. I used the white Posca pen to lighten areas. Now I have the pattern of values I’ll modify those areas. I haven’t quite figured out how but it will probably come to me as I paint. Frequently I get ideas while I work. It’s almost like the painting gets a life of its own and it somehow lets me know what to do next. You can see the under layer with just the ink in the extras. Also a couple of leaves from Stu and Judy’s smoke tree. I picked them up when we arrived at their house for dinner.
