I've just been out into the garden wearing ordinary shoes and not wellies for the first time in well over a week. Hopeful of seeing some greenery? Optimistic that the whiteout is at an end ?

Maybe. As I'm uploading this I can see through the window that it is snowing again.

With luck, it will not stop me from going to the Nottingham Forest home game this afternoon. The return of King Billy (Davies) has led to hysteria and riding on the crest of a wave - or whatever you want to call this amazing revival. It's just crazy. As time goes on, we will see if it is just manic but enjoyable nonsense and wait for the bubble to burst.

But maybe, just maybe, he is the best thing to happen to us since Brian Clough......................... Now that's what I call optimism.
