All Saints' Day

My step-mom and I went to devotion mass of All Saints' Day. We were a bit disappointed as my dad's name was not told in the mass, as it has been used to. There was so many people who had passed away during the past year, that they did not read any names. Instead all of us in the church could lit a memory candle for our loved ones.

In the blip all the candles.

There was lists full of names on the church wall and we found my dad's name there.

Later a slightly different feelings, as I had bought tickets for our family to hockey game Ilves-Lukko. I like watching hockey. Always have. My husband hates it. He says that hockey is game, that little minded men play dangerously play. But anyway he game with me and our kids and watched the game.

Last games are played now in Hakametsä hall, as the new one is about to open in the beginning of December.

Tampere Hakametsä Ice Rink is the oldest ice rink in Finland, located in the Kissanmaa district of Tampere. The hall, designed by architect Jaakko Tähtinen, was built for the 1965 World Hockey Championships. Since its completion, the hall has been renovated and modernized several times, most recently in 2001-2002. In 2007, Hakametsä received a new scoreboard that also displays video. Hakametsä is the third largest ice rink in the Finnish Championship League.

The new one, Tampereen Kannen arena, is a multifunctional arena still under construction in the center of Tampere. The arena rises on top of the railway, close to Tampere's railway station and bus station. Between the bridge and the arena comes a deck that forms a square-like square and the main entrance to the arena. The new arena will cost 124 miljon euros. It is designed by architects Stefan Blach / Studio Daniel Libeskind, Hannu Helkiö / HH Sportsbase Venues and Aihio Arkkitehdit Oy.
