Ancestral Home

I have working for months on a family project which is finally coming to a close. It is a family history of my mother's people who came from Spain to seek a new life in the tropics of Australia. My mum has written their story and her memories. I have refitted it and added in many photos from their vast collection over the years. After much deliberation this was chosen as the cover picture. It is my photo of a local artist's view of our ancestral home on their first cane farm. Built for the north Queesland weather and conditions ... A far cry from their dwellings in their former country.
