Wise Old Bowl blip...

The inscription on the bottom bowl says 'L'ivresse de l'amour est plus douce et plus raisonable que le vin' which loosely translated means 'the drunkeness of love is softer and more reasonable than that of wine'

I love this little bowl and it was only 1 euro picked up at a vide-grenier on L'ile de Ré. What a sensible little bowl. :)
