Crooklands

I'm attending a Family History conference in this former 1700s farmhouse turned hotel. Lots of interesting local Cumbrian history . It's right next door to the Lancaster Canal which I have explored in the past. I took a quick walk (extra) in the pouring rain at lunch time to try and justify the huge quantities of food on offer
