Mr Peacock

We were going to venture to Motueka today to watch the drag racing, but when it came to going, we were a bit tired - it was an early start milking this morning. Along with the 3 hours return trip, we would have to come home and milk at 6pm, so we decided to ditch that idea.

Instead we went out for lunch to the famous Red Barn Café and Animal Park - most often frequented by Kiwilizzie and TeeJay. We had a leisurely lunch, during which we were visited by Tony the Peacock. He is moulting at the moment; a few tail feathers had fallen out, so his top half was more attractive than the bottom half.

Many, many thanks for all the comments, stars and hearts that I received for my NZ Falcon yesterday. It made front page of spotlight early this morning. The Falcon was once again sitting on the power pole by the cowshed during milking this evening. He stayed for a while, then flew back to the pine trees.
