How It Started/How It's Going

My Dear Princess and Dear Friends,

I've been asking and asking Caro what she wanted to do for our anniversary. "Oh, nothing," she replied. 

She's been doing this to me for 22 years. I try to take her on dates, but all she wants is to be warm and comfortable at home, with take-out food. 

We've built a marriage on that. Couches and naps and cats and curries and snuggly blankets and tv and cuddles.

That was how it started, back in 1999. This picture was taken back then in Jim & Mechelle's flat on Home Street. I love this picture of Caro with her spiky purple hair and her combat pants. I loved that look. She was such a Bad Girl. 

And today with her was another quiet day with cats and cuddles. Really, it could still be 1999. Except for the purple hair.
