Opti-mists

Eager sailors were forced to stare out towards Caroline Bay & beyond in the hope the wind would come up so racing could begin. Timaru is hosting the National Optimist Sailing Championships over the Easter Weekend. Yesterday they had the fog to contend with, today the lack of wind. We went down late morning, here they are all parked up. I was taken with the wee guy up there looking hopefully while his dad looks rather dispondent with hands in pockets.

I am totally overwhelmed, gobsmacked, happy & humbled with the response to my jewels. So many wonderful & encouraging comments, stars and 41 hearts...thank you all so much. I had know idea it would be so popular.

What a great day we have had, this morning down to watch the yachting (which didn't happen when we were there) then to friends for an amazing barbeque lunch, lovely to sit outside, a chance to catch up with old acquaintances and friends. I have eaten too much so no need for a meal of any sort tonight.

It has been so hot today and still is at 6.30 pm.

Anyhoo.....must go.

Almost forgot, this morning made this yummy spicy apply cake with rum sauce to take - it was a hit ! Now I have to email the recipe to people. :)
