On a front porch

There's something pretty silly about a silver model of a female torso, yet I find there's an elegance about this scene.

Nothing silly about last night. I went with the Other M to local venue, the Vanguard, to see a band, Bonnie Kay and the Bonafides. All terrific musicians, their offering was eclectic - some blues, jazz, rockabilly - and it hung together well. It was made all the more enjoyable by my niece, excellent trumpeter, playing in the band. That's her on the right in the extra. Note also that female musicians outnumbered male, which is unusual.
