Raindrops on fuschias

Monday Oct 18
It was a wet day for our last day in England. Roger spent the morning with Janet doing some work on the roof of Bernard’s conservatory. I went along to sort out some of Laura’s winter things that got left there when she moved from Bucharest to Kuwait four years ago. She will be needing them again in a few months! I then went back to Janet’s to do our packing. Janet still has plenty of colour left in her beautiful garden, so during a lull in the rain, I went out and took a few shots of rain drop bedecked flowers.
We had booked our flights to and from Manchester, but they both got changed to Heathrow, so after an early dinner with Janet and John and Bernard, we drove down, and spent the night in a hotel near the airport. Roger returned the car to the rental place, and in the morning we will take a bus to the airport.

It’s been a wonderful 4 weeks, spending precious time with family, enjoying the English countryside, and crossing a number of places off our England “bucket list”! Even the weather was pretty kind to us for once!
