Novice Drift Day
Friday 5th November 2021
It has been a stressful week and, although it was technically a day off, I had a service this morning. I got home at 12.30pm.
The good news is that we finally have heat in the church. We've been without since the flood in January. The new boiler is installed and was switched on today. Still some work to be done but the heat is on.
Thankfully I had arranged for SueT to come over today so that we could go to the Novice Drift Day at The Three Sisters race track to do some photography. I think the motivation would have left me if we hadn't committed to going together. So pleased we went. We had a great couple of hours trying to get to grips with the camera settings needed to capture good shots and experiment with panning technique. Neither of us were sure whether we'd end up with anything but it was a fun afternoon and it did me the world of good.
Back home I discovered I'd taken just short of 2000 photos! It took ages to go through them. I was amazed at how many keepers I had after the first run through. I have been through them again and still have 82. I've put a few in extras.
