The Thousand Islands area of the St. Lawrence river is a fabulous and famous tourism destination. I'm sure all involved in the industry are anxiously awaiting the start of a new season - not the least of which would be the operators of the several tour boat companies. Commercial traffic between the Atlantic Ocean and the Great Lakes has resumed so it should be just a short while before the ice clears from the smaller bays and channels and allows these vessels to get under way.
