Constellation of sycamore leaf

We woke to a beautiful crisp, sunny autumn day - perfect conditions for our 90 minute drive north this morning to Comrie. First we stopped for lunch in a lovely café on the High Street. Then we changed into boots for an afternoon outdoors.

Our walk took us through woods, across fields, up a road for a short while (not so good), along the edge of a World War II prisoner of war camp, and back to town following the River Earn. We stopped to observe deer, fungi, various birds (including dippers), pet a dog and a horse, and take photographs. I had a lot of choice of pictures to blip. In the end I plumped for this sycamore leaf constellation.

We're staying in the Royal Hotel (it's lovely), but tonight we ate 'out' at the Deil's Cauldron restaurant. Our meal was fabulous. I had haddock and prawn gratin, salmon, and chocolate pot; Mr hazelh worked his way through confit of duck, beef, and sticky toffee pudding.

Exercise today: walking (19,427 steps).
