On the road again

We set off mid-morning for another medical appointment for Malcolm. This time for the University Hospital of Zurich for a 3 month check-up and 3D scan on his jaw. It was our first time driving through the Gottard tunnel. The complex nature of mountains and lakes and the need to connect the different cantons means a transport network that needs constant maintenance and improvements. No tunnel delays today but the Zurich traffic was fairly dense and stationary which added considerable time to our journey. Worth it though for the good news we received. All looking good and the next check in 12 months from now. Recent snow had closed many of the mountains passes and the snow line was clearly distinct as we drove across the alps. Beautiful though with the autumn colours and snow-capped peaks.
