The accidental finding

The Fountain Inn and All Saints Church, Uplands

The light was very strong today. I'd intended to take a more nuanced shot featuring long shadows, on my way home, but then my phone started pinging and I lost the moment. So this will my shot for today, Slad road and Uplands against a blue sky. It's near where I pick up the children, and take them home We all had a fabulous time today: no tears, no tantrums. It's easier with just two of them.

I walked to Waitrose (via the charity shop, where I added to my burgeoning Christmas present collection) because I was supposed to meet a customer to hand over some Christmas cards. She never showed up, and I was cold. I chatted to a friend, and took a phone call, then rushed home for a 5pm Zoom.

The Zoom lecture was about the rhythm of music, and poetry, and drumming, and heartbeats, and why we need rhythm in our life, and how to make a simple drum for home use. Excellent, and I've signed up for a one-off evening course to hear the same tutor read aloud excerpts from A Christmas Carol in December. I'd hoped to go to the live performance of this in the Studio theatre at the Everyman theatre in Cheltenham, but I may not fancy it unless CoVid cases level off in the county.
