Brass Monkeys!
Back blip from my skiing holiday
A late start this morning due to the persistent thick fog again.
One young lad, who had slept through the day yesterday, and missed the fog, rushed out this morning with his snowboard. Within half an hour he was back.
"That was the scariest blipping thing ever, I'm never going out in that again!!"
"Succinctly put" said his friend.
We ventured out at 11 and later in the afternoon, the cloud lifted and the sun even shone for a few minutes. We skied fast and furious for a couple of hours.
After tea I took a stroll through the village centre. There was a crowd gathering around the square where a brass band was playing. All young French medical students, they were raising money for an African charity. The music they played was 'big band' with a very modern twist. There were people dancing and singing. The sun appeared just as it was slipping behind the mountains, creating a lovely light for photos.
