Drinks!

Today I went shopping with ‘the girls’, the pals that I went on the Cotswolds tour with, just before the first lockdown.

We had such fun! Got the train from Bangor to Belfast, a quick mosey in Anthropologie (where I resisted some wine glasses that were begging me to buy them) and then lunch in Avoca. Another little tootle around the shops before a cocktail in the Europa Hotel, claim to fame as the most bombed hotel in the world…..or something like that.

I had a berry mojito, which was a bit sweeter than I would have liked, but very pleasant nonetheless. Then the others got the train back to Bangor while I girded my loins and jumped aboard the Glider bus to Dundonald. Mistake!! It was awful! We were squished in like sardines, there were loads of young people, and none of them were wearing masks!

I’ll not make that journey again for a long time.
