Windy Devon
We spent a very poor night waking up what seemed like every few minutes as the wind howled around the chalet and a sound similar to a dustbin or wheelie bin being smashed against the side of the chalet.
Ann discovered the next morning when she went out to investigate prior to her early morning run that the roof had become loose during the night by the wind and was banging up and down every time here was a gust. We temporarily fixed that with a heavy piece of wood and the site maintenance men came during the morning to make a more permanent fix. So although the strong wind is still blowing, the roof has stopped banging.
After grocery shopping we went to The Ness for morning coffee then after lunch Colin came over and we drove to Meadfoot Bay to park up and have a walk into Torquay. The sea was on its way in when we returned to the car, some of the waves were quite spectacular.
