Coming Attraction

In the morning, when the sun is shining over my roof and on to the tree, the orange light reflected into the windows of the back rooms makes them look like they're on fire.  Lunchtime and the overhead sun suspend the effect but in the later afternoon the sunlight streams through the crimson leaves and starts the process again.
It's a glorious thing to see, and it will only last for a week or so.

The only trouble with the whole thing is that the leaves fall and must be gathered before they smother the grass.  The picture shows one day's worth of leaves on the ground.
