End of Season....
Empty docks and shrink-wrapped boats...and winter on its way...how sad is that? The end of another season...If you are a sailor at heart, it's going to be a long wait until next year..until those boats go back in the water...
It could be a long wait in other ways too.. until the pandemic is over..until travel is safe again...a long wait until we can get back to doing what we love...to having our normal lives back..
Unless we are fans of winter, it can be hard to keep our spirits up as the temperatures drop and the snow flies...I, for one, need to find something to love about winter...or it will definitely be a VERY long wait....I am getting older and do not have time to waste sitting around "waiting"...I need to figure out how to make good use of the winter months ahead...and I had better start now as we had frost last night and some areas even had snow!
My little walk down by the lake and past the marina and the boats this afternoon did make me think about winter..but it was also uplifting too..The lake was calm, there was still some wonderful autumn colour and if you were in the sun, it was lovely and warm..( extra). Not bad for a November day that started out with frost.
